Equipment
During the expedition we will be using four similar stations:
- One SSB station
- One CW station
- One Digital modes station
- One Flex station to make sure we don’t miss any opening.
All four stations are using the following setup:
- Transceiver Yaesu FT450
- PA ACOM 1010
- USB Micro Keyer 1 o rBuxcom Station RTTY
- Heil Sound Headset
- Band filters
- Laptop IBM T42
- Wintest for CW / SSB and Logger32 for digital mode logging.
Our antenna farm :
- 5 band Spiderbeam for 10/12/15/17 and 20m
- 3 band Spiderbeam for 10/15 and 20m
- WARC band Spiderbeam for 12/17 and 30m
on the low bands we will mostly use verticals:
- Vertical 40m on a 12m pole
- Vertical 80m using an 18m pole
- Vertical 160m using a 26m pole
- Inverted V dipole for 30 and 40m
- K9AY for reception
And of course over 450m of H155 coaxial cable !
